The "Find my Hearing Aids" function in the Oticon Companion app can show you a map with the last known location when the hearing aids were connected to your phone and the app. This works if the permission for location tracking has been accepted.
To access the "Find my hearing aids" function, tap on "Hearing Aids" (1) in the bottom menu. Then tap the "Find my Hearing Aids" field. (2)
For the function to work, it is required to allow the app to track your location. This is needed because if location tracking is not set up, the app will not be able to save the last known location when hearing aids and phone were connected.
On iPhones this can be set under phone Settings by scrolling down to find the Companion app. Then tap Location and set to "Always".
On Android devices you go to Settings > Apps and then find 'Companion' app and set location to "Allow only while using the app"
On the map, the pinpoints showing the position of the hearing aids can be either colored in red or green. When the pinpoint is green, it shows the current position of your hearing aids. When the pinpoint is red it shows the position of your hearing aids at the time when the Bluetooth connection between your hearing aids and phone was lost. (This is assumed to be the approximate location of the lost hearing aid).
It is important to move slowly when trying to locate a lost hearing aid.
If the hearing aids and phone, for some reason, were not connected at the time of loosing the hearing aid, the "Find my hearing aid" function will not be able to show the approximate location of the hearing aids.
