How many years should I expect my hearing aid to last?
Hearing aids can last anywhere from five to seven years — for some people, even longer. There are many variables that affect this lifespan including how well it is maintained, and how much wear and tear it experiences.
Can I sleep with my hearing aids?
You should remove your hearing aids overnight. Open the battery door to help conserve battery life during the night. If you have rechargeable hearing aids, insert them in the charger overnight.
Can I wear my hearing aids when swimming or showering?
No – although your hearing aids are well protected against water and dust, we do not recommend wearing them while swimming or taking a shower. Your hearing aids are water-resistant, which means they are designed to be worn in daily life situations. So, you do not have to worry about sweat or getting wet in the rain. Do not leave them in the bathroom, which is a humid and wet environment.
How do I differentiate my right from the left hearing aid?
It is important to distinguish between the left and the right hearing aid as they might be programmed differently. A red indicator marks the “right” hearing aid and the blue indicator marks the “left” hearing aid. For
