Best strategies for managing battery life
Hi fantastic community!
Can you tell me what you are all doing in order to manage battery life? For me it is not an issue most days, but I find that I still worry about the batteries draining completely and me having to get through the last part of a day without the aids (catastrophic!)

With disposables, I found it helps to open the battery door when you’re not wearing them. I also keep them in a dry spot at room temperature—no bathrooms or extreme temperatures, since that drains batteries faster. Simple but effective!

If you still use zinc-air batteries, give them a minute to ‘breathe’ after you take off the tab before putting them into your hearing aids. A hearing aid tech shared that tip with me, and I swear it’s extended the battery life. Also, keeping a spare pack in my bag is a habit that saved me more than once!
I was going through disposable batteries way too fast, so I switched to rechargeable hearing aids. I love them because I just pop them in the charging case at night, and they last all day. No more surprise ‘low battery’ beeps halfway through my day!
